Hello violent.
Your post is on point, the default server max speed is 2000.0 gold-scr units.
This is a flaw in itself, as you could stack high client movement speed + shop speed.


Server limits frame rate to 100000, and updaterate to 102, max fps is 101
So its up to the player to limit his own speed (bad move inmo) :

cl_forwardspeed , cl_backspeed and cl_sidespeed can be modified freely by the player, since its a client cvar.

doing this has the risk of being auto banned by the speed hack checker if the (2k) limit is surpassed.

So yeah server should set lower speed limit, and enforce all players to have same speed on connect.
SGS is strongly limited by the server max rate, having a high speed without a higher rate is meaningless.

Skilled users can be damaged by this

At this point just stop the parachute plugin, why bypass with a cvar?

Player still can hyperscroll without parachute.
